MORE STORYBOARDS

Open publication - Free publishing - More initial

Audio= Lip up fatty, Bad Manners
I've had a look at showreels on youtube, and seen a couple of things I could do.. I want to make a showreel and shows who I am and what I like.. The main idea is showing me walking to uni.. with illustrations popping out of the photograph..
In the showreels I've seen, they usually show several 'scenes' of animation, so I might need to look at throwing in some previous after effects, maybe part of my 'top 10 superpowers'?

FINAL BOARDS

LEEDS LOVES..

I looked at changing the layout slightly and making 'creativity' slanted, make it a bit more 'fun' and different..
reflects creativity as well i guess.. Think the yellow is the only colour that will work.. will show a few colour variations.. but yeah.. probably stick the yellow..

Made the lightbulb bigger in the head shape.. I dunno if this is any better than previous design..

STREET FURNITURE

I added some more information, and after looking at the other banners, they all had the bottom cut off for the web address..

LEEDS LOVES CREATIVITY

Initial idea- using a light bulb as the shape of the logo- reflects ideas, brains etc..
Just need to get the brand guidelines to get the typeface used and the pantone colours..
Also need to find a 'new' colour, to show a different sector..

Light bulb in a head shape.. needs a bit more work with layout, and maybe add in some more lines in the light bulb.. maybe show it lighting up somehow..
Typeface- changed to make it look more like the 'Leeds Loves'.. not sure what it is yet.. but gives a better idea..

DESIGNS AFTER FEEDBACK

I took another stab at the webpage, with the new drink design. Not keen on the bottles in the bottom left.. the current website has them, so looked at using them in mine.. and it didn't work.
I like the white text on the blue background, it also reflects the drink's pattern..

Changed the title..

In the brand guidelines, they showed that they had some promo for the shopkeeper, which I thought was quite a good idea.. However, I wasn't keen on the idea of a postcard.. so I made some business card ideas.. as it seemed more professional..

Looked at one sided card.. but quite boring to look at.. wouldn't really want to hold on to it for long.. would probably go in zee bin..

Looks cheap..Think its the blue strip combined with the boost logo.. just don't look right.

Not keen on the gradient, but it reflects the can.. still unsure about the blue stripe in it.. don't think it's relevant.. and Graham's always complaining about lines.. lets not use it! .. after a few experiments..

Put the title up the side of the card, like the packaging, but this makes the business card look a bit unclear and random.. again, half blue half gradient.. does not work..

Started to look at doing a double sided card, as there was too much on the front to work with.. Still not keen on the line, but still experimenting.. Decided that we would use a specific stock, so we don't want the gradient on the paper.. just let the quality of paper speak for itself..

This was the final business card idea, which was then printed onto antique white paper.. I think it works nicely, its clear and has all relevant info on it.. however, we decided in the end that it wasn't relevant to our idea..

Hate the grey at the bottom, definitely gotta go! and I don't like the large Gill Sans "top taste, mini price", think it makes it look really cheap..

Poster, which would be seen in newsagents, bus stops.. billboards.. I'm not too keen on it.. The blue, which I put on the background, to reflect the packaging of the drink, doesn't work.. and I don't like the colour of the type much..

Poster that I put together- very clean and sophisticated looking.. not what Boost was wanting, they want to keep it fun and cheap.. still needs a bit of work done to it.. but aint too bad.
I also moved the 'ji' closer to the 'Go' .. as in the feedback we got, we were told that 'Goji' looked like 2 separate words.. Think it looks much better being closer together.. Also.. the title being on the dark blue background makes the letters look smaller, so I took off the blue and it makes the title stand out much more, and more legible.

Side of the bus advertisement-  Simple, I think people would see it and understand it.. but maybe too simple.. needs a bit more doing to it..

When I was designing the bus, I didn't think that just the advertisement area would be enough impact, so had a look at making the whole bus an advertisement.. it's not finished.. but the idea would be to make the bus look metal like..

OR..

Square poster.. has the ingredients on.. would be seen near where the drinks will be sold..

Circular promos- maybe stickers? or badges..
I continued the line drawing from the drinking can, Brady had done it on a poster, and it looked quite effective..

Don't think it looks right with it being landscape..

4D advert: I think it looks too simple.. image?

Will the images make sense when driving past?

4D AGAIN..

Not our own image.. but just as a guide..
We are going to look at drawing the image instead.. play about with the line, see what looks better..

When the drinks are in the newsagents, they might be kept in the box packaging.. This needs to stand out from the competition..
The packaging we have seen are all normal with a flat edge.. Need to look into it more..
I have done a quick idea.. but in reality.. this wouldn't be great.. there would be a lot of card wasted and wouldn't be able to get as many out of one sheet of card..

Too busy! Far too many circles about, and mixes with the drink packaging, and you don't know whats going on..

COLOUR VARIATIONS:

Had a look at changing the colour of the lines, moving them around to see if one looks better than the other.. I quite like the red and blue line (middle)

Also.. Brady has come with a gradient in the text, for the title, which I think works really well.. need to see what it would look like on the drink..

4D

Quick ideas:

I HATE the boost font.. I think it's made the posters look really 'immature' and this is not the  target audience.. Need to keep it subtle.. So need to change the type on 'NEW'

Also on this second poster.. The boost typeface is the biggest, either change the 'daily berry boost' or the 'no brainer' ..

GOING BACK..

Needs some kind of image on this poster below.. Not sure what though..
