CURCULLIA VERBASCI

LOOK INTO...

After talking to one of the students, they came up with the idea of using the wings in the packaging, and how it would open up etc..

Maybe a way of opening the packaging could involve the wings.

What about wingless insects!?

LOOK INTO...

ODONATA

Simplified the dragonfly image for packaging.
I really liked the detail on the dragonfly, so I'm going to try incorporate that in too.

VANESSA ATLANTA

This is just a little look into some packaging ideas and designs.
Vanessa Atlanta is the name given to the Red Admiral butterfly, which I thought sounded a bit 'fancy' and insect is not the first thing you think of.

This type of packaging is for a pot of food, with just a card belly band idea around it.
I want to use the insect's colour and pattern for the boxes.

Below are just images done on illustrator as an idea of what the packaging may look like.
After looking at the image of the butterfly again, I think I need to add more white areas on the top of the packaging and also make it look a bit more like wings maybe.

GRENADE- wrap it up

This one week brief has not worked out the way I wanted it to at all and I'm really disappointed with what my final packages turned out like.

I think I will definately re-visit these packages to improve on them.
I want to make them more visually engaging and interactive, possibly making the word 'tasty' come out more, maybe using teeth and eating as an idea for opening the packages and make them a bit more funny and light hearted.

TASTY

Below are the nets I have chosen for this particular exercise:

The word I am using is TASTY, which I chose from looking through my research.
In lesson, I cut the nets out and put them together, to get a better understanding of how they will look.

I need to show the word 'tasty' by using an image. Also, looking at fonts, to see what would work best.
I can only use 2 colours + the stock (which can change with each packaging)
