DESIGNS

I want to get leaves and get the actual pattern off them to work with, and scan them in and work with them, but for the time being...
My idea is to have printed leaf pattern on the inside of the packaging.
There will be a different colour for crickets in different countries.
I want to have some parts cut out, in the leaf shape, just to make it a bit more interesting.

I am going to look at using frosted tracing paper with one colour and maybe a spot varnish.

Had an experiment with different colours:

I like how the brown coloured squares have worked, but not keen on the blue.
I think the lighter blue squares are to cold, but the darker blues are a bit warmer and I think it would work better.

The brown coloured squares work nicely with each other, but I think it might need a bit more red..

What would these look like with the frosted tracing paper?

Bare in mind: see through.. what will it look like on the other side.. with the frosty paper, it may not go through very well.
Also added a cut out leaf on the bottom.. this would need acetate/plastic - to make sure contents don't fall out.
