First boards:
In our group, we decided with the words that we had together (happy, busy, people, buildings) to come up with a problem that was based around shopping in Leeds.
After throwing ideas around the table, we decided to look at Christmas shopping, and how busy it gets.
Through researching this, we found that there were fewer male shoppers than female shoppers, and that the male shoppers were usually with the female shopper.
After talking to male friends, family and shoppers, we found that many of them were usually dragged out with their partner to shop, and they don't enjoy the experience at all.
So we intend to come up with something that will keep the male shoppers entertained whilst their partner is in the fitting rooms or looking around.
Experimentation with colour, font and layout for front cover and other pages of the survival guide.
This is the final page that we have laid out. We decided to have a double page spread, just so there is more space and the sentences aren't so close together. Making it easier to read.

Below are the experiments for one of the pages in the guide.
We didn't want to have a straight list, as this is what you would normally see, and is quite boring to look at, so we decided to change the way the sentences are laid out.

Above layout is quite haphazard.
Just looking at using 3 colours to start with.. red, black and white, as these are the colours that really stand out when used together.
However.. after looking into this more, we decided that this has been done over and over again.. so looked into using other colours, that can also stand out just as well.
